Short-term Consultancy opportunities available - LOT 9 EC Framework Contract.
CfBT’s Consortium has been selected to be a service provider for the new round of EC Framework Contracts Lot 9.

This 4-year Framework Contract is the EC’s fast-track mechanism for commissioning short-term advisory services on all aspects of the EU project cycle, from design to final evaluation.

As of mid September CfBT will receive regular requests for experts from EC Delegations worldwide, usually at very short notice, within the following sectors:

- Education
- Vocational Education and Training
- Labour market and employment
- Social inclusion and protection
- Culture

The Black Sea Link Fellowship Program, sponsored by the VolkswagenStiftung (Hannover, Germany), targets talented young researchers from Moldova, the Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as from other regions around the Black Sea.
The grants allow fellows to work on projects of their choice while in residence in Bucharest, Romania. NEC welcomes a wide variety of disciplines in the fields of the humanities and social sciences.

Conditions: Applicants must be doctoral students, or hold a Ph.D. title. Preference will be given to candidates below the age of 40.
Duration of the Fellowship: one term (5 months), from October 1, 2010 to February 28, 2011, or from March 1 to July 31, 2011; or a full academic year (10 months) from October 1, 2010 to July 31, 2011.

Location: New Europe College-Institute for Advanced Study in Bucharest.

The Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery invite applications for research fellowships in art and visual culture of the United States.
A variety of predoctoral, postdoctoral, and senior fellowships are available. Fellowships are residential and support independent and dissertation research. The stipend for a one-year fellowship is $27,000 for predoctoral fellows or $42,000 for senior and postdoctoral fellows, plus research and travel allowances. The standard term of residency is twelve months, but shorter terms will be considered; stipends are prorated for periods of less than twelve
months.

The Weinstein International Fellowship (from the JAMS Foundation) provides opportunties for individuals from outside the United States to visit the U.S. to learn more about dispute resolution processes and practicies and to pursue a project of their own design that serves to advance the resolution of disputes in their home countries.
The JAMS Foundation Board of Directors will approve Fellowships of up to $25,000 in support of projects outlined by Fellowship applicants. This program is intended to be flexible and open to innovation, and applicants are encouraged to develop proposals that will increase the availability of dispute resolution education, training and services in their home countries and beyond.

Applications are invited for two research positions in The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) which is located at the main campus of Trinity College Dublin.
One position will be at Research Fellow level (minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience) and one at Post-Doctoral level.

TILDA is collecting detailed information on all aspects of the lives of people aged 50+ resident in Ireland, including the economic dimension (pensions, employment, living standards etc.), health aspects (physical, mental, service needs and usage etc.) and social aspects (contact with friends and kin, formal and informal care, social participation etc.) Data from survey interviews as well as physical and biological measurements will be collected and compiled for research analysis purposes. The successful candidate will work as a part of a team of a research project ‘500 Families: Migration Histories of Turks in Europe’ (LineUp), which is funded by the NORFACE (New Opportunities for Research Funding Agency Co-operation in Europe).
This international collaborative research involves partners from the UK, Germany, Netherlands, and Turkey. It aims to collect data on the complete genealogies of 500 Turkish families in Europe and Turkey and to interview a selected number of family members (around 6000) of these genealogies. This research focuses on migration patterns of the Turkish immigrants in Europe and investigates transmission of resources, behaviour, and values across multiple generations.
