The Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg is advertising the following position in the area of "Austrian Politics in comparative European Perspective”:Assistant Professor of Political Science (unlimited contract following extended review process based on contractually defined qualification requirements).
The tasks include independent scholarship, unsupervised teaching, the participation in research projects, assisting with securing outside funding, and administrative as well as departmental duties.
Qualified candidates will have completed a doctorate in political science and possess a demonstrable record of scholarship and unsupervised teaching. Additional desirable qualifications include publications in peer-reviewed international journals, a close familiarity with the scholarship on Austrian politics, and substantial knowledge of the methods of empirical social science research.
