Silver Rose Awards Make a nomination
The call for nominations for the 2010 Silver Rose Awards are now open. The deadline for submissions is the 25 November 2009.
How can I make a nomination? You can nominate an individual or organisation by filling out this form, and returning it to us.
Who can make a nomination? Everyone is welcome to make a nomination, especially member organisations or other organisations and individuals who actively support SOLIDAR's work.
Who can be nominated? Individuals and organisations whose outstanding work is fuelled by vision and tireless commitment and whose achievements have contributed greatly to the struggle for a just and civil society. For more information, please read the overview page.
What are the categories for nominations? In 2010, there are two awards categories open for nominations: 1 - European Social Justice: for an organisation or individual working within the 27 EU Member States. 2 - International Solidarity: for an organisation or individual working in any country outside the European Union.
Who decides on the winners? The winners are selected by a jury made up of Members of the European Parliament who share a long history of involvement with SOLIDAR’s work and identify with its values. The jury is chaired this year by Véronique de Keyser MEP and meets in person twice to debate the nominations in detail before making a decision.
When are the awards presented? At the Silver Rose Awards Ceremony being held on the 12 January 2010 in the European Parliament, hosted by Véronique de Keyser MEP.
